Heather Honey and Screw Press

Any members here process their Heather Honey using a screw press, if so what are your thoughts on how effective it is. Last season I used a hand press and found there was still loads of honey left in the wax.

I have a fruit press for cappings and found it was leaving a lot in the bag because the plate stopped short of the base by 3/4".
Had to attach a nylon disk to the underside to get it to work thoroughly.

I was told by a beefarmer it turns the heather honey black.

Works well but its not a finished product. Filtering is a PITA. Do it when warm off the hive and filter through a large sieve (50cm diameter) is how we do it. Just about bearable.
