Lifted the lid of what I thought was an overdue QC today only to find I was a day or so too early (red eye white head) I quickly replaced the lid but have I killed her or can she survive my premature intervention?

Best to leave them alone with QC etc there the experts.

I don't know if you have killed her.

Recheck in a day or two but she may of been stung by another queen and the bees are uncapping the cell to throw her out if you had more than one QC.

If workers are intent on killing queen cells they mostly always tear them down from the side.
