Harvest

How many of you in the UK are still to harvest and where are you?

Still have a little honey in one of the supers on the two colonies still up in the hills. They'll be coming home at the weekend.

Normally would harvest three times - early June at the end of the oilseed rape season, late July before a move to the hills, and now. Very little this year - some rape and a very little heather honey.

Same as Gavin describes,will be moving some bee's back from the heather in next week or so, and any honey they have will be cleared..

Harvest?

Before you can harvest, you have to have honey! My ladies are busy filling frames with nectar, but I can see v little capped. But then they are a new colony this year, from a 3 frame nuc, so perhaps next year?...
