We have just got our second colony from Thrones - still very exciting for us.
They are resting next to their new hive tonight before moving in tomorrow.

My question is about how far we need to angle the second give from the firsy. They are both on a bench about 4 feet apart.

Any ideas?

Thanks Sam

Most only have a hive stand and so they are parallel or nearly so, so any angle would help to avoid drifting. Your main consideration might be space for inspections - space to put hive components. So, 90 or 180 degrees could be the most appropriate but direction the entrances face might then be the deciding factor!

You can always turn them, as long as they are not too heavy, by a few degrees a day if you wish to change them.

So entirely your choice 'on the ground' so as to speak.
