That is a very good well balanced and down to earth site. It uses a sensible balance of chemical and natural treatments, with an aim to phase out the chemicals...how I am progressing.

Its American though .
So is the dummies guide to bee keeping and in my opinion (just my opinion I know!!) it's the best modern book on modern bee keeping.

I have adopted many ideas from it and with respect to the bee keepers in my locality. I don't seem to have half as many problems as they do.

Mission I am not suprised at your choice of book,I have read of many other uk beeks who give it top marks.

I have a copy and dip in to it at times.

its a problem with forums sometimes the jokes run flat,I try to use a wink or happy face smillie but it still seems to hit the wrong spot sometimes.

I will have to have a look at that. The only book I have and the one most recommend is the Ted Hooper one.

Just another example of beekeeing stuck in its ways.

if your a lover of the Langstroth then I highly recommend a copy of the dummies guide. It's a really great read and explains things really simply.
