Which silver soled and flux is used on Gas Vap

Regarding construction of Gas Vap end feed copper fittings assembly. Which silver solder and flux is recommended and where do you get it.

Different design and brazed mine, but you need a good torch to get the copper hot enough.

Thanks for the fast response, which silver solder did you use and is map gas hot enough.

Good engineering suppliers or ebay for materials... try a welding specialist suppliers.

One point is that soldering and brazing are different... MAP or similar combined propane/butane gasses should get things hot enough... copper will melt readily with oxy propane or oxy acetylene.

New materials and fluxes on the market today make it easy.. I remember the mantra of the instructor we had at Kingston Tech.. was you can not braze brass!

End feed copper fittings and compression fittings, any plumbing supplier should be able to supply. Compression does not require heat for assembly.

End feed copper fittings and compression fittings, any plumbing supplier should be able to supply. Compression does not require heat for assembly.
Compression fittings have a greater mass so take longer to heat up and cool down. Being slower to cool can be a problem when introducing second and subsequent charges.
