Just seen an advert on a beekeeping facebook page for overwintered nuc'c with 4-5 frames of brood, £170 each, posted today.
I might be wrong but shouldn't a healthy overwintered nuc be in a full brood box with supers and giving a crop by now..........mine are !

There are lots of swarms about though.................:spy:
 
yes would have thought so, unless overwintered that have been split a couple of times since !
 
Only picked my nuc up last weekend

Bet it wasn't an over wintered one with last years queen though.
My point was that at this stage of the season nucs are available with this years queens.
Overwintered nucs will have outgrown their box 2 months or more ago if they were healthy and building up normally.

I'm regretting selling so many nucs now after we've had a wonderful late spring flow. Any I've kept have collected more than thir price in honey. Bird in the hand I suppose.
