I had capping from 8 frames and read on here and elsewhere how to render. In the end tried something my own way. I lined a very cheap plastic mixing bowl with cling film, put my washed and perfectly dry capping into it and sat the bowl on a near boiling saucepan of water. When it was completely melted I strained it through a piece of old muslin into a cling film lined plastic takeaway carton and let it set. Using cling film definitely kept everything clean and no splashes or mess. I will do it this way again if I have only a few frames to do.
