...for Norton that this volcanic ash issue doesn't drag on and on (heard last night that there's the chance it could roll on for weeks).

He must be close to sending out his first shipments......including some to me!
 
Hmmm.....yes, it's a worry isn't it.

Also the far reaching complications too.

Remember the awful summer we had the year after the Mexican (?) volcano erupted in the early 80's (83?) it was a grey and wet summer everyone's hay went rotten in the fields as it rained so much. No honey crop that year.

Where have you been this past 4 years, raining here every summer and getting worse.
The rain started here last week of may and lasted till 2nd week October... Millions of £'s lost to potato blight etc etc .

Has'nt been a flow of honey here for years, best hope for around 30lb of spring honey per hive...

when the Laki volcano next to this one errupted in 1783 it lasted 8 months, the summer was cold and the winter was one of the coldest ever..crops failed t5wo years running in the whole of europe.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laki
