I have finally completed the process of putting my colonies onto larger frames.Hurrah! The old, no longer wanted ,smaller brood frames have some stores of honey on them. Can I harvest this and feed the bees with it? The old frames were not diseased but had been used for brood so a bit on the dark colour side and I have no plans to use frames that had any brood left on them. I would not be feeding them honey they had not alreaady made- just getting them to relocate it!

Just scrape the cappings and place the frame above the crown board with a hole in the board, they will clean it out for you.
