Hi hopefully this thread is going in the right section.
My favourite honey bee body part has to be the abdomen.
My reasons.
1. Wax flakes are produced from four pairs of wax glands which are secreted through the four sternite plates.
2. The honey stomach is located in the abdomen and in comparison to the rest of the abdomen it takes up such a small area.
3. The sting is also in the last segment of the abdomen( and I love to get stung:)) not really but the sting once used means the bee will shortly die.
The workers give up so much to die so quickly.

Here's a few photos from a book I'm reading, which is one of many.
I have 6 books that I'm reading from at the moment mainly at night.

What is your favourite part of the honey bee and why?

You bloody softy! No specific part just a whole drone..?
I have to admit I would rather cuddle a handful of drones rather than workers.
Yep.... a newly born drone is just so furry and I do love it when a colony lets a few through the winter
