Hi, advice needed please. I have a hive that has a failed queen (patchy, full of drone etc, I suspect not mated well). To be honest I have left them to it but they are done for so will probably shake them out. The hive was actually two swarms (from my own hives) I caught and combined. I haven’t treated this hive for varroa so far.

There is quite a bit of capped honey in the brood chamber (double brood) and also stores. I don’t want to waste anything - freeze the pollen to feed other hives when needed? Also, presumably ok to extract the honey as no varroa treatment?

Thanks
