Once Spring has sprung, the weather warms up and the colonies are expanding, I'm intrigued to know what forum members do with any excess fondant that might perhaps be lying on top of a crown board or directly on the brood frames if it hasn't been consumed during the colder weather.

Do you remove it or let the bees finish it over a period of time?

im thinking of storing it in old ice cream tub's that why is will stay moist and the ants and wasps cant get it.

I prefer not to store any fondant removed from colonys for further use, just in case some may of had some nasty bug, nosema ect, would rather not be giving them a dose of whatever next winter.
