Hi there im after some help please.

a few months ago i split one of my hives and much to my joy i had a nice new queen and she was laying very nicely,
how ever a little while later queen cells were being made and were being caped, also drones were being made again also?

dont know why they were wanting to make a new queen again?

for the last four weeks i have just been taking the queen cells down.
but the last two weeks i have noticed some strange pattens on the brood, making me think that the queen might be laying drones or laying workers?

this is only on one frame, the others look very well,

the first two photos are of the same frame, showing the strange brood pattern, and the bottom two is the next frame along,

i also noticed today that there was an opened queen cell, so i dont know if there is a new queen walking around?:willy_nilly:

dont really want a new queen this late in the year

here is another photo of another frame that i forgotten to put on the first thread

Looks to me as though the bees knew best, and you have wasted a month when they could have superceded her.

Regards, RAB
