If so please contact me via PM on here as I have a colony of bees that is not queen right, she has died, and I do not want to lose my bees altogether.
Thank you

Are you confident that the bees have not replaced the old queen and she is preparing to mate and come into lay?

If you have another beekeeper near you you can give them a test frame (a frame with eggs on it) and if they are hopelessly Q- they will raise a queen from the frame.

No QC on the frame will indicate you have a queen of sorts.

There was not a single egg, larve nothing, no capped cells except drone cells.

I had one like that on my first inspection on the 28th march and one recently open supersedure cell that I almost missed.

A test frame indicated a queen of sorts in the hive.

And on my last inspection last Thursday a hive with plenty of eggs and some sealed worker cells.

I am yet to see a queen but as with you I expected the worst but they as they often do surprised us.

How populated is your hive, how many frames of bees?

Are your bees grumpy or still calm?
