BTW what do you use as your 'projectile director'? I was thinking of treating myself to multichokes as my Christmas present but thought it could wait and I will carefully consider whether it is worth having them fitted.

Keep it simple and just go for fixed. Mulit choke is a marketing fad (like other things). Made to make manufacutre simple (make one and then sell it with many chokes).

You will spend all your time blaming the wrong choke.

But does depend on what you use it for.

Rough / game go for 28" fixed choke under over, thats what I have. Browning 525 light weight game.
 
Beretta SO here. Field. Not lightweight - 3.6kg - but is comfortable.

Far too tight, had bottom 'improved' but top is typical Italian - too tight.

Not used much of late for several reasons, hence not decided on getting it done.
