Advice please.
Yesterday on the not to friendly opposite site under the heading Bee Chat I had my forum post deleted,

In the post (Copies of Roger?s letters included) I apologized for not realizing I had any private messages.
I asked politely standing to attention the reasons why I had received in My Private Messages
3 Emails banning me from using my link to my web site.

As I had received no reply to me previous emails I decided to post for all to see and go public you might say.

The reply back from Roger P was my post deleted and a reprimand for going public, No explanation except there was no advertising on the forum for wwweasybeeproducts.co.uk

AS a fully paid up member do I have the same rights as others?. To have my web site at the bottom of my post!
NOW I am prepared to go public again with this banning because Nobody has given me any details or replyed to my letters. Guilty before the trial.
Should it go public yes or no?
All the best mike:banghead:

Is anyone else allowed to advertise sites in Signatures on that site?

I am sure if you paid them enough money they would delete any posts that bad mouthed you ;) (30k is a rough number).

Thats why this site has no mods and is run by its members.

Regards going public that is your choice alone.

Have you been banned from the darkside?

If not then just send your friends private messages telling them to come join us :grouphug:

It would not be profesional for me to bad mouth the other forum due to me being admin(I will leave that to others) this forum is not in compettition with them,it is just trying to offer an alternative voice for its members and allowing more freedom such as website links in signatures etc.

Hello Mike

I had a similar experience to you - got a snotty PM from Roger the Dodger saying my sig had nothing to do with Bee's (..which yours has, and intrigues me now!) and I was to remove it.
I think its because yours is Commercial, and not a BBKA site.

I didnt get Banned, but did have the complete hump!!!

Its your decision Mike, but best read the 'FORUM RULES' which, I believe, is stickied in every section for your delectation....... :svengo:

Mike

I think you'll find there are rules governing certain signatures on the BBKA Forum. Also there are rules concerning advertising.

Regards;

Guess you did get treated the same, which seems less unfair. We are allowed to post links here aren't we? it won't make any difference if you go public if they have their rules and they apply them fairly, thne you can't win. I think a better bet would be for us all here, to support you Mike.

You are allowed one advert to sell items only, you are not allowed links to other websites if they sell anything,or if they link to commercial sites,BUT that depends on who you are, because ther are links on there to sites that sell things, and these link to other commecial sites. So the rules are split.not fair.

Yes sig links are fine if beekeeping or health related(Please god no porn links)!

Mike sells bees, members buy bees simple,It does not mean that I or the forum endorse his product and I am sure buyers are aware of that.

Mike Roberts is a terrorist,he should be in guantanimo bay,he's trying to take over the world with carniolan bee's.but he ain't no fool.

There is a thread on there asking what happened, a few people saw the "offending" posts, but I did not.

Yes the admin does state

"We do not allow linking or advertisements in signature images. We are allowing a small text link (hyperlink) to either your own personal or your local BKA websites providing they are not commercial and there is a beekeeping element. (font or smaller)."

But I see nothing wrong with Mike listing a link to his BEEKEEING site!

Possibley the problem is by stopping people linking to their commercial sites, means the BBKA can justify not having to put a link to the BAYER site:cheers2:

On another link, the new mod on the site the other day told somone that they can olny post threads with bee related points!

Even though there is a section that clearly states "no bee related chat"

The site is over moderated!

People are being cut down in their tracks if they just go slightly off the topic title. By going off at a tangent is how things develop.

And at this time of year, they might as well just close the site down, because what is there realy to talk about?

I was told to remove a link to a personal beekeeping forum or I would be banned!

So basiclay they do not alow anything?

Then how do the mods and admin keep their links?

Is Mike back with an update?
Have they had him killed,is he dead?
