More out of interest than anything (rather than actually doing it - as a newbie with a relatively new hive I'm assuming it may be a step too far this year) I've been looking to see what is involved in creating a nucleus for overwintering to increase colonies. I can't find a good description of the process that relate to the UK - in particular the timing of the various steps and when to start the process.
Any pointers as to where I can look for such information would be appreciated - I've searched the forum and can't find a succinct answer (perhaps that is telling me there is no such thing....).
