I extracted my honey yesterday (Sunday) and put the wet super back on at dusk. They went barmy as probably could smell the honey - lemmee at it!

advice please - as now I want to take off my super frames and treat/feed. Is it best to put the bee escapes back on for a day or should I shake the bees off the frames?

Any advice much appreciated.

I would shake and brush so I can add the treatment the same day as both of my sites are out apiaries.

probably best to use your clearing mechanisms, Janet. ;)

Oh blimey - how typical! Ask two beekeepers one question and you get two answers!!!

Mike said he does it his way 'cos his bees are at an out-apiary, your bees are in back garden!

That's true TB! I think I'll put my bee escape back on tomorrow night - would 48 hours have been long enough for them?

put it on in the morning, don't give them time to start filling it again!

Some of us have to go to work you know!!!

I do it that way as it saves me making an extra trip out to deal with them the next day.
