:) yes of course, but you know even the medical world has dictionaries and glossaries to cover/define commonly used of abbreviations and so on.

more acronyms? DLQ? .. dead like quizzers? doomed, last, quid? dozy, lazy, questioner? nope, not sure ....
I stand corrected. The above are reasonable commonly used abbreviations!;)
 
Thank you all for your replies. I still haven't got anything in the bait hives. Two now - the shed one and another one just on a table out of the way in the garden. I work part time as a teacher and there are so many acronyms I gave up on them years ago. I had to look up FWW. For what its worth.
