hi dogged quite new myself first full year the qc looks like a play cup allways better to look inside for royal jelly and fat larvae to see if it is a qc or play cup,the white stuff to the right of the larvae is older larvae note the c shape only it is a little like white ballons squashed into a cell, and a few digestive biscuits to the left capped brood,it does get easier

Welcome - and I'd like to say beekeeping get's easier - in my limited experience bit's of it do, but I always appear to be facing new 'challenges'

I have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA if they're any good or not, and this isn't a recommendation, but Beecraft do an Apiary guide pack - that would appear to assist in a case such as yours (And mine TBH but I'm too mean to spend £20 to find out). I seem to recall others have commented they're good.

yep, well worth the 20 quid (especially for new bee-keepers)
