You would be surprised what they can take, a few years back was called in to a bit of scrub land in Barbados, the day before a digger driver clearing the land had got badly stung and carted off. Old oil drums littered the land and many had bees inside all AHB, the guys i was with wanted the honey and some of the bees if we could. So it was foot on the hole and angle grinder lid off, not happy is an understatement. I can only imagine the heat that these would be exposed to out there.
