Can anyone identify this “bee”?

Hi ! I’m not a beekeeper but I came here looking to see if anyone could identify this “bee” for me out of curiosity as I spotted it on my walk today and have never seen one like this before!
I am pretty sure it is a bee anyway. I thought it could be a tree bumblebee but i am not sure .
I’m in rural Aberdeenshire in Scotland (not sure if location helps!) I’ve tried to sharpen the photo, I didn’t want to get too close !

I did wonder. I couldn’t seem to find the same patterning on any uk bee species! Thank you!

Check the eyes. Flies have big eyes that meet in the middle of their head
Two wings only whereas bees have four.

The page suggests that there are two types your photo could be Leucozona lucorum & Cheilosia illustrata the distinguishing features can't be seen in your photo so up to you which one you think it might be.
