What size smoker and what is the best make to buy ?

Hi, I dont think there is a "best make" but if you are a beginner you will find a big smoker easier to light and it will stat lit for longer.

When this comes up the 2 "best" are usually the Dadant (American) or the Rauchboy (German). I have neither. I think the Dadant is stocked by UK suppliers.

My Thorn*s stainless is fine.

Long term, stainless makes sense.

sadly, no more!
At this time of year, a good quality Panama is hard to beat after a modest (say nine-course) supper - especially with a generous tot of finest napoleon brandy!

Smokers... the bigger the better, and one with a guard around it and a hook to hang it on the spare lift!

also highly reccomended would bee a self igniting blow torch for setting the whole apparatus in action..... priceless!!
