Probably te easiest to use for a few colonies.
We had good results using the Varomoor Vaporiser..... the Sublimox is the way to go for a lot of colonies... but not cheap when you add the inverter and extra long leads to connect to a 12V supply.
Now considering a bespoke 240V converter permanently fitted to the second battery in the Defender... I can run my hairdrier from it too!!

I made my own. Foe £3.00 for a glowplug and scrap materials, It was very good vfm.
 
What you need depends on what you've got or plan to have.
How many hives will you be treating?
I got >130 treatments from a 12v drinks heater £5 and a battery scrounged from a local garage. Heavy battery but 15-20 treatments from a charge.
