Bees working Mint

I've just taken a rest on the bench next to my wife's little herb patch, and was amazed to see scores and scores of bees working the spears of flowers on the mint. Is there a necter flow from mint? I couldn't see any pollen gathering on the bees. Will the mint flavour carry over to the honey?

Ooooo, I've never thought to smell mint flowers. I assume the mint flavour comes from the leaves. Would be interested to see if anyone can answer this.
