Existing colony now queenless so need either a swarm or nucleus to merge with.
Anyone able to supply?

Thanks
Rob

or a frame of eggs off a local beek so they can make a queen themselves

From a new(?) beek we need a tad more information to be able to help.

Why do you think it is q-?

How big is it? Presumably smallish to need a nuc to unite (as opposed to a laying queen).

Has it swarmed? If so, how many times?

Queenless because no queen nor brood. Hasnt swarmed - queen lost a while back - emergency cells created but bad weather must have prevented new queen mating and now queen is not in hive so presumably lost. Drone comb for a period. Yes, diminishing bees now so a frame of brood might work but not ideal. Uniting is likely the best approach.

Rob are you sorted yet?

If not drop me a pm, I am down the road from you.

Have you confirmed the colony is Q-?

Give us the dates of when emergency cells were produced/sealed. I would likely expect the colony to be Q+. You may get further bother, if it is. Do you think it is not there because it became a drone layer and then stopped laying?

IMO it needs a test frame before trying anything else (apart from waiting).
