Hi All
Checked the bees yesterday and today just looking outside loads of dead bees or crawling, checked closely as I thought somthing looked strange and not mine very dark brown mine have yellow stripes, realised they are trying to get in some do but have not the energy to fly off when coming out at least 50 yesterday and its been sunny today well over a 50 since 11.00am. now 4.00pm my lot look fine the usual 1 or 2 that have caught a chill and have not made it back in.
Any sugestions what I should do or just let them get on with it I finished feeding 3 weeks ago entrance hole about 2 inches..

Or maybe bees from a nearby collapsing colony?

Varroa loading may rise unexpectedly, as may viral/bacterial disease spread.

Little you can do about it at the moment.

Thanks Rab

Do you have any wild colonies in your area that you know of?

I don't think that they sound strong enough to do any serious robbing of your colony's winter stores but as RAB says they could bring in disease if they are feral and untreated- keep checking to see if they are coming back each day.
