Been over to the hives after storm and noticed bees at the entrance at one of the hives.

Is this unusual or to be expected? Especially after the high winds and rain

Look forward to your advise

Thank you

What temp was it? Was it windy?

Mine have been busy all week. Over 10⁰ and I would be worried if they weren't out!

Few of mine poked their heads out because the sun was on the entrances. Soon poked them back in when they realised how windy it was!

It was only about 7/8°C here yesterday, little to no wind and sun shining but it doesn’t hit the hives. Both hives had massive orientation flights in the morning, lots of new foragers and lots of pollen going in, about 2 hours later another round of orientation flights, they obviously decided to make use of the sunny weather and promote more foragers. It was quite a sight, much busier than their normal orientation flights. Back to wind and rain again today though!
