bees in my hive!

I took my hive to a friend's today, where we transferred 5 frames from her nuc box into my 14x12, and gave them a super of her honey. We know the queen cell was still capped last Saturday, and it was open today, but we didn't see her. There weren't any eggs, so am I right in thinking she is somewhere between having emerged and having gone on a mating flight? I hope she's OK.

We are going to leave them now for a couple of weeks, it's just all too exciting, I just needed to share the fact that I have my first bees!

Just hope your friend was experienced enough to be sure she (the queen) was not acually out on a mating flight!
