My hives are at one side of my garden and my garden table at the other. Between the two (but closer to me) as a bird feeder which gets spilt onto the ground. Bees are flying across the garden to the hives. Pigeons often fly down from the house roof to get the food. It's very noticeable that bees near the flying pigeons fly at/chase the pigeons, though they don't bother them once they have landed. I haven't noticed it with other bird species yet & the bees don't bother the chickens pottering around. The bees ignore me wandering around.
Anyone else noticed this phenomenon?

When we had our hives in the garden the bees used to chase the pigeons away.

Might be seeing something we don't. Pigeon plumage under UV is very different to what we see. Also movement is a factor.
