I have said ages ago that when i lived and worked in the middle east bee's would come in a lorry trailer and were set up inside like filing cabiantes, these lorries were fully set up to extract the honey as well, with the lorry workers removing any full frames as and when they found them rather than waiting for a full super as there was not the space to have three supers on at any one time.

my son found this last night and it is very close to set ups i used to see abroad.this one is deralict rather than lived in but the ideas the same

a traveling bee set up anyone

Thats naughty Pete,I can see a few members sipping tea and thinking about this idea :D

Personally, I could go for a bee narrow boat- take your pick of the HB if nothing else!

A narrow boat ?
What do you think about that Idea Tom Bick..

I had a swarm land on the nose of my narrowboat years ago. Sadly no camera at the time...
The fact that we were moving didn't seem to bother them. I suppose we were going too slowly for them to mind. Not sure they'd have actually settled there, though - that would be very confusing for foragers!
They took off after a while, and swarmed down the canal above the water. I wondered if they appreciated the extra humidity and warm air over the canal in the evening.

Do you mean like this one pete, [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9nqW6v1TCU&feature=related[/ame]
