Agree - get in touch with the Hampshire Beekeepers association - http://www.beetalk.org.uk/ - and they will direct you to your local association in the region, for example, I am part of the New Forest BKA, which is affiliated to the Hants BKA. They will be able to recommend courses, local bee suppliers, might even be able to supply you with a swarm later in the year. Good luck.
