Bee feeding - market research

Hey guys,

It's me again ! I have a question to ask you about bee feeding, it is to do with market research that i am carrying out on bee farming in the UK.

What are your thoughts on bee feeding ?
Do you regularly use bee feeds such as syrups , fondants, cakes ?
If so, what brands do you use?

Sugar syrup made from British sugar beet (purchased for no more than 50p per Kg and often much less). In the past have fed pollen supplement patties using pollen collected the previous year using pollen traps (and frozen to preserve it) to build colonies up for early flows like Oil seed ****. These days don't bother as plenty of blackthorn flowering nearby. Very occasionally (ie every 15 years or so) use bakers fondant in february to feed a few of colonies getting low on stores.
