Bees now bringing in a creamy beige pollen. Would have said it was Balsam, which is still out, but no characteristic Himalayan Balsam Stripes on them. Shall have to kidnap one and see what it is.
Any idea anyone?

I checked some pollen under the microscope earlier.no stripe on bees back but it was HB.if its a light lemon to it its probably ivy.there's also orange pollen still going in off the autumn hawkbit

Cheers protheroe, saves me a job. It looks like HB, just got used to seeing the characteristic stripe at the same time.
The ivy round my way is quite a bright yellow, one apiary is on it. But, the bees in my garden (less than 1/2 mile from other apiary) haven't found it yet.

Not sure that looks pale enough for hb nor yellow/orange enough for the majority of ivy i see.....if you track it down let us know
