One of the dept managers at work has her own signature manoeuvre
When her dept has an almighty FU,she will incite trouble in another to create a distraction for the senior management.
Years it's been going on and they're still not wise to it.
Like a squid doing the ink cloud thing.


With that inspiration,just create a distraction of equal or greater magnitude and then do your stuff unhindered in the eye of the hurricane.
