apilife var

I am new to beekeeping. I have dusted my bees with icing sugar but am still counting 9/10 mites on the inspection board.
I have some apilife var strips but am worried about using as some of the things I have been reading suggest it makes the bees a bit aggressive and also disturbing to the queen.
Has anybody in the north of England used this product? I would be grateful for advice. Sorry if this is a perennial question posted on here.

Don't be worried. Any chances of harm to the bees or queen is negligible compared to the damage the varroa will be doing to your bees. Zap 'em now would be my advice.

I have used it. Based in Stoke on Trent - Northernmost Midlands#. No ill effects seen...

# So I suppose we are Northerners... not Southerners anyway..:--)
