In preparation for treatment I intend to make up some apiguard ekes.
Do not have apiguard yet so do not know how deep to make the eke.
Anybody know or got a tape measure? Thanks

The trays of Apiguard are about 10mm thick drex plus you need some space on top of that for the bees to get to it.

I made some ekes at about 1 1/2 so you can lay some fondant on the top of the frames in the spring should they need it.

Darren.

40mm is enough (Thornes is this size)

Just buy some 2 x 1 pse which finishes about 45mm.

why not just add 30-40mm to one side of cover board?

I posted a question on here last year about why some coverboards have a very deep side and a shallow side - my best reason to date is to allow apigaurd to be used with the deep side.
