Apidea frames wax

I just made up an apidea.
Should I put foundation in the frames and if so, should it be stuck to the plastic with melted wax?

Just a starter strip (I tend to use section wax, and get 6-8 strips off each piece. A bit of melted wax keeps it in place pretty well.
