Hi are any of the forum regulars near Chard. I’ve a friend that’s just had a Swarm move in to a wall beside front door. I’m thinking a quick application of beequick to the cavity may push them out. They are happy to cover costs…..and it’ll save me a trip😂

Bet it doesn't work. Nice idea but when ensconced for more than an hour they are, in my experience, there to stay. Let us know how it goes though as I would love to be proved wrong ..... Again😁, it is too far for me I am afraid. The Somerton beekeepers association are very helpful.

I would agree, one of my landlords had bees going into a flat roof and asked if I could get them out. I sprayed Beequick into the cavity below the felt roof to try and make it as unattractive as possible to no avail.

I’ve used it to drive existing colonies out of cavities in the past and these have just arrived this afternoon, ironically they wanted to start beekeeping😂 it was worth a go given the alternatives!
Unfortunately these have entered a gap between the front door frame and a stone arch above. What makes it even worse is it’s a converted barn come holiday let and there’s guests booked this week😂

I used to live in Somerset and steered clear of Chard. It’s local knowledge that the Rottweilers only go out in pairs there…..
