My almond blossom is gearing up now, my bees have what for them is the nearest thing to a main flow I suppose. They were dodging each other trying to get in and out of the entrance. Still have some very cold nights but I have taken off the mouse guards on the strongest colonies to allow them more hive access.
I read somewhere that too much almond pollen was toxic!

Apparently in the US they lost 30% of colonies which went to the almond orchards even before CCD. The theory I've heard was they suffered from malnutrition, but I can't see that happening where you are Norm as there will be other forage about.
