Rather large but light box under the tree indicates Santa has brought me a MB nuc with trimmings. I think there's also a Maisemore WBC lift and BB in there. Now its time to get excited!

Anyone else identified pleasant surprises in wait?

a new camera awaits me under our unorthadox tree.(a corkscrew hazel this year a weeping willow last year they get planted soon after)
and for swmbo there is a new bike.

I'm pretty sure (as I ordered it) a copy of David Heaf's "The Bee-friendly Beekeeper - A sustainable approach",
and I did mutter something about stockings with this sort of thing in mind......... a french beekeeper demonstrating the new form of "uniform" for lady lecturers as hinted at in the "online college thread........

is she old enough to keep bees (or be out dressed like that)?

perhaps WPF will check her DOB for us?

currently listening to a bizarre mix of LIB and the french tune as two youtube windows open at once.

yes it's surprising how big the boxes are for flatpacked items!!! BUt very light as you say.

Has the saved VAT been spent on anything extra for you do you think?

Why no xmas DrS ?

I would put up a Youtube video for the ladies but I not very good at picking Male vids.

All I want for Christmas is absolutely nothing but peace and happiness for all.

I am very lucky and get it from my wonderful wife Julie.

You get peace from your wife ?
Wow I would love one of them..

My biggest present this year is to be here, I was a little poorly a couple of years ago so everyday is a gift and better still, the grandchildren are going to be here on boxing day so I can regress at least 4 decades.

humbug

1. it's meant to be primarily a religious event
2. it's actually commercialised prostitution
3. it's helping to destroy the planet
4. it's part of the cause of the credit crunch but is touted as the solution

great idea in past when people were really poor and kids could be controlled all year by the thought of a tangerine and a walnut in exchange for 365 days good behaiour.

a certain norfolk producer (now ex) will have been hatching 60,000 turkey poults a day, destined for 12-15 weeks of misery, to supply the demand.

and don't get me started on xmas lights....

and don't get me started on xmas lights....

Suppose they are the main cause of this global warming, along with all those farting turkeys.

well, it is a good time to buy yourself what you have wanted the whole year with out excuses why you need it ... :)

Limiting electric supply to 3kW would soon put a stop to the lights nonsense.

Closing down all the power stations worldwide, and confiscating all generators, would make sure there were less fairy lights.

Gosh there are some happy people here !

Humbug to all the christmas detractors - cheer up you miserable buggers

I love it, am going to enjoy it and so will all I meet up with over the next few days...
..am typing this briefly as the turkey sits, the bread sauce is bubbling, the roast pots and parsnips are finishing off and the wine is chilling !

but in the spirit of christmas I will share this little joke..

A few years ago, the French, Russian and British Ambassadors to the USA were asked the same question by a reporter what they would like for Christmas..

The French Ambassador replied he would like to see an end to suffering in the world

The Russain Ambassador replied he would like to see an end to all wars

and the British Ambassador was typically modest by replying, if pushed, he wouldn't mind a small box of after dinner mints...!

HAPPY CHRISTMAS

Stephen
