I see we have 1700 odd members of which some 1700 odd are listed as active.

I see on another forum a membership of some 2000+ of whom 400+ are listed as active.

How active is active? I am active I know this because I walk the dogs. :)

I do though find it a bit incredible that all 1700 odd are all posters.

I will have to check the stats but I know we get over 1000 members a month login.

Last month active members was about 725 a day,not all members are visible as they set there username to be hidden when they login.

We are using just under half a gig of bandwith per day, about 15 gig a month, thats a lot of traffic.

Now that is truly excellent.

I was going to use my 2000 post for a thank you to you Admin for all you hard work but as it seems to have slipped my notice I will use this one instead.

Thanks Mark. :)

I use both Forums, pretty evenly.
This one is more user friendly for some reason, you get more replies to questions on HERE.
So this one has the edge.
Its good to get a cross section of different approaches/opinions to beekeeping.
But as my local Beekeeping Supplier has always said to me, "If it works for you it must be ok"
Bob.

In my opinion you don't have to post to be active. I don't always post as there are so many answers already there!! I'm trawling through the posts from the beginning at the moment. Excellent stuff.

Also it's good to just see what others are talking about and people are always ready to post here if you need an answer to somthing more obscure or topical. There is always some wise sayings from Finman or some wise crack from Hedgerow Pete - my personal favorites :)

Thanks Admin for a great site - how many of the users are in the UK compared to elsewhere in the world?
