I have read earlier postings regarding the making of Bees wax polish. The recipe calls for pure turps. I have been in town today and could find nowhere that sells 'pure' turps. One shopkeeper even said it was banned because it contained 'something illegal'. Can anyone shed any light on this, and do they know where I can buy, 'pure turps' from?

I got some from an art shop. Enough for a few tins.

Don't know where you would buy a lot of it though?

Thanks everyone, found lots on ebay, although I would like to find a local shop as the postage on ebay is as much as the product!
I like to post a query on the forum rather than googling as it sometimes leads to further discussions etc.
Thanks for all the replies though.

Found some pure turps today, in a hardware shop. Thanks to all who contributed.
