- sadly, no more!
I have finally got round to doing something about the old supers of ivy honey etc that were surplus to the bees' winter requirements.
We thought that we had got rid of the worst (?) of the ivy honey, and the current Lady DD has spent the morning melting down the remaining wax. Trouble is that there was rather more honey left in the wax than we had thought!
To those who know about these things: are the wax and honey likely to separate fully as they cool, or will we need to re-melt it?
(PS: is there any (legal and decent) use for a job lot of rendered year-old ivy honey?).
