Yes ... and it's not over yet. Hunker down over there in Finland - you don't want to catch it. Have you had your vaccinations ?

Of course vaccination 6 months ago. But 20% of Finnish people do not want vaccination or do not have.

A Sad situation goes worse.

Not good .... the minority of people who put the majority at risk. Have you got booster vaccinations in Finland yet ? Stay safe Finnie ...

We have started booster vaccinations.
Indian mutant revieled, that actually we did not know much about that virus.

Scary isn't it, my son has just finished isolation after having it, we had to cancel his babys christening and now my daughters 6 year old has it so they have just gone into isolation, christening delayed until December, in the lap of the gods if it goes ahead, church and reception limited numbers
How are they isolating a 6 year old?
Our 13 year old has been isolated in his room for 10 days now our 8 year old has tested positive today and we are concerned for all now, I'm testing negative and I'm allowed to work its not good.
Apologies to buttin on the subject.

It should be that we isolate for 14 days and don't have any contact even if you have a negative but family members have contracted Covid.
How are they fairing? Our lad has had a cold he couldn't taste anything either and has felt very tired and slept alot.

As to work I'm lucky I'm outside landscaping or in the workshop /honey room away from folk.
Best wishes Nannysbees for the family. :)

Yes I totally agree, the 6 year old is under the weather the 4 year old is bouncing!!!!! Even though we are told in college in class we are able to take our masks off mind stays on throughout the day, I can't risk it with parents in their 80's. Thank you for your best wishes:)

Sounds like the 4 year old is in good spirit our 8 year old was dancing to baby shark tonight but you can tell she's not feeling well.
Keep them warm and watered/fed and give them all the love you can that's all we can do.
What gets me is the teen has worn his mask religiously at school and the stupid ones that haven't been careful are smelling of roses .
Squirrel was quite upset when he had a positive test more frustrated that other class mates are being so stupid.
I said to him you should be proud your keeping the side going.

I see it day in day out in college with students not wearing masks, very frustrating.

Our Boxing Day is a bubble of close friends but we may rethink it as one of them has compromised immunity.
My OH had Covid last April and it was horrible. Very close to calling for an ambulance but she came through although still has long Covid.
We still go out in masks…… but it was astonishing to see how many abandoned wearing them as soon as it wasn’t compulsory.
A guy in our village was an anti vaxer as he was a fit and healthy 40 year old and thought he was immune. Went into hospital with Covid and they turned his life support off four days later. Very sobering.

We are off to Lewes for a Christmas family thing this weekend. My dad is then off to my brothers place in France. Covid variants permitting of course. We're at 'Billy the dog's' house on Christmas day, with my partners mum and brother. Billy will go crazy with excitement as usual running about, barking and trying to steal food etc.! Eventually he will end up having to be muzzled and sent into the garden to calm down. You never know, maybe even me too! :ROFLMAO:

Christmas services are happening here in Northern Ireland. Busiest day of the year for me, start with a service at midnight, then a few hours sleep, the next service starts at 8.00, then a service for children at 10.00, that might be cancelled as covid is doing the rounds in primary schools here, then the 3rd communion service at 11.00. Hope that one of my children comes home , they don't like church so they can cook the dinner as my wife is helping me.

Have you put up your Christmas tree and decorations yet? Who just has a tree and who goes to town with outside lights and blow up Santa's 🎅? Do you go artificial or real?
I have just started with a garland down the banister and a pop tree in the hall. I'm afraid to say our main tree is artificial:0 .I have a tree in the middle of our drive which we decorate with baubles and lights 🎄no blow up santa for me🤣

Have you put up your Christmas tree
Ours is up - in the attic, where it has remained for years.
I will wheel the live potted tree we have from the back garden to the veranda when I can be bothered and I'm sure SWMBO will drape some light on that.
As for outside lights! I prefer to waste my electricity on keeping warm over the winter.

We have a twisted willow twig decorated with Icicles. We do put our Christmas cards up on the ceiling beams. As for outside lights, no none.

I'm afraid I'm in the JBM "bah humbug" camp as I've become older due to the commercialism associated with most festivals.
Don't get me wrong, I will love seeing the grand children enjoy the season and SWMBO will make me put a tree and decorations up but it will be a very modest affair.

'Er indoors likes to rake out our artificial tree and put lights on it. I put a timer on the plug as I don't see the point of illuminating it during daylight or after we've gone to bed. She tells me I'm a bah humbug merchant 💰
