2009 Good or Bad year for honey production?

An average of 58.53lbs per colony - I would be happy with that

most beeks that i have spoke with are pushing around the 45lb per hive from last year so it sounds ok, i did a lot better but that was mainly down to hand rearing bees and the areas of forage that i have avalible

Better year in 2009 ,got some nice mixed honey.The colony that yielded the most however,despite being lavishly fed was the one that didn't make it thro' the winter.They died out but on examination were absolutely loaded with uneaten stores of pollen and syrup.SO dissappointing !!!
