you ain't got one of those for a commercial sized nuc, have you?

Thanks Admin, I'd forgotten about them there's a full set on Photobucket for anyone else that's interested (no commercials though).

Thanks Pete, I've seen most of the videos on youtube I especially like the idea of a bee shed, maybe something to thing about for the future.

Cheers

I built one today using that drawing. I had to make some minor adjustments to allow for 9mm ply, otherwise it turned out as expected.

I am now encouraged to try a full brood box...

Marvin,on the full brood box there may be a mistake,I had to adjust the top bars on the 14 x 12 plans by about 3-5 mm from memory.

Anyone else used the plans that can remember the same problem ?

It's the same problem as with the national plans

460 brood box side

Runner outboard of rebate 36mm-23mm = 13mm

2 x 13mm = 26mm

460mm-26mm = 434mm the distance between the rebates.

Cushman has national top bar length as 432mm

2mm theoretical clearance, which is about 1 weeks worth of propolis.

The clearance needs to be at least double that

Thanks M100,I have not made any this year and could not remember the problem, that was it though,as you posted in your reply.
