Syrup - how long does it last?

Im thinking of buying syrup in bulk. I usually make my own from sugar and water but Ive decided to pay a bit extra and cut out the hassle. The smallest quantity I can get at an economic price is 600 litres which is a bit more than I think I need. If there is any left after the Autumn feeding...

    Selling honey in bulk

I am drowning in honey this year and I am going to have difficulty selling it all to my customers. I therefore am thinking of selling the surplus off in 30lb buckets probably about 500lb in total. Does anyone know of any packers that would be willing to buy it? Whats the going rate at the moment?

Hygenic Bees -Who discovered the phenomen?

There seem to be numerous groups around the world performing research on hygenic bees. These bees groom each other to remove varroa and also remove pupae that have been deformed due to the effects of varroa. Who was the first person to notice these traits ? Swienty poly Langstroth - Beespace

Managed to buy some of these from ******. I have noticed that the top bee space is only about 5mm (should be 8-9mm in order for the bees to get through). The only way I can see to remedy this is to file down the plastic runners by 3mm. I cant understand why this should be the case, has...
