    Advice on moving WBC hives

    I need to move my hives, as the bees have been bothering my neighbours. Had a go tonight, but had to abandon. Managed to move a small hive, without any problems. 2nd Hive has a stand, brood and a half and a super. I considered this too tall/heavy to move in one go. Took the super off, but bees...

    Swarm Kippax

    Is anybody interested in collecting (for free) a swarm in Kippax (West Yorkshire). I have not got any space. I have been send a picture and they are honey bees. They are in a bush approx. 10 ft high.

    Angry Bees

    My hive is queenless, I am pretty sure they have swarmed. I have left 2 queencells for them (Thursday), but the bees are angry. Bees will chase you down the garden, and are stinging, even at say 25meters or more away from the hive. Any suggestions?

    Oxalic acid

    Only 6 weeks late, but I have just done the oxalic acid treatment and am happy to see my three hives have survived so far!

    Looking after my bees...

    Today, I put some more Ambrosia on top of the frames, as there is another cold snap on the way. Also put a bit of carpet on top. Hopefully my one and only remaining hive, will make it through to spring!

    Dead bees

    2 weeks ago, when I did the oxalic treatment and put some ambosia on, my bees were fine. Today, the bees in one hive have all died. No obvious signs of desease. Could it be that when I put the Ambrosia on, the bees broke the cluster and froze?
